Solution Manager Key to install Production server.

Hi,

I need the solution manager key for installing ECC60 on production server.

I don't have installed Solution manager in my landscape.

How will I get the Solution Manager Key.

Hello Kumar,

To ensure the availability of this application management platform a SAP Solution Manager system is technically required to perform any upgrade or installation for all SAP Software based on SAP NetWeaver 2004s or higher (including the SAP Business Suite Solutions 2005).

Could u suggest me the packages need to be installed for SolMan on my server (Quality).

Below is my SP level.

SAP_BASIS 700 0014 SAPKB70014SAP Basis ComponentBasis Support Pkg.

SAP_ABA 700 0014 SAPKA70014 Cross-Application Component Appl. Interface SP

Hello Kumar,

First install Solution Manager 7.0. Once the installation successfully completes, then, bring the support pack stack level upto 16. Or you can go ahead without adding any stacks to SolMan. However, I suggest you to apply upto SPS 16.

Could u provide the path to download the Solution Manager 7.0,

Is that only one package or I need to update SAP_BASIS / SAP_ABA and etc.(These Packs also)

SAP Solution Manager is not a single SAP component you may add to your system using SAINT.

It is a seperate stand alone product. A seperate system you need to install.

Get the software at http://service.sap.com/swdc -> download -> installation & upgrades -> entry by app. group -> sap solution manager

If you received a software package from SAP it should be included there.

Just to let you know, this Solution Manager is a separate installation. You need to download the complete software from Service Market Place separately. Please use the following path to download from the Service Market Place

service.sap.com/swdc

From the left pane on the page, proceed as follows

Download --> Installations and Upgrades --> Entry by Application Group --> SAP Technology Components --> SAP SOLUTION MANAGER --> SAP SOLUTION MANAGER 7.0

Then select the OS and the DB

Only legal/supported way is to install Solution Manager.

Maybe a friend or colleague is able to help you but don't ask for a key in SDN.
