Negative Cost Planning and negative budgeting

Hello Friends,

In our scenerio, we are locking the budget on releasing the project.

We have done enhancements to ensure that overall budget is always less than or equal to planned cost in version Zero. Before enhancing budget, planned cost need to be enhanced and then budget.

My process owner is asking me for provision to do negative cost planning and negative budgeting ? Have anybody come across such scenerio ? If yes, how to do the same ?

Please note that this is required to address total planned cost by adding one new WBS in project structure. User will plan negative cost and do -ve budget for the same WBS to mainatin overall planned cost.

Actually regarding this issue already has been discussed.

as per my view Negative Budgeting would not be possible but u can use cost/revenue

planning.

Even negative cost plan will allow in yearu2026and will show error in overall so (Donu2019t recommend).

If u want to save we have to remove value in overall manually then system will save.
