assigning gl to project

Do we assign any gl's to project or to wbs elements at the time of creataion?

Hi,

Not at all. WBS elements are cost objects which can be used to plan & capture cost..

Is there any possibIlity to prevent posting to wrong GL's, while posting with wbs elements??

you can allow posting on gl's for wbs using field status group on gl master

else set up validation rule

however note this could impede performance of system

usually fi team runs reports and if there is any incorrect posting then correct it using journals before month end processing
