Dear ram,

If it is a duty paid material , then commercial invoice can be generated otherwise excise invoice is the must .

hi,

thanks for ur valuable support, and my question is that we have paid excise duty while stock is transfering from plant to depot, so do we need to pay excise again while we transfer from depot to depot

Dear Ram

If the sending Depot is registered under Central Excise, then yes you need to levy duty while transferring the goods to another depot. If it is not registered under Central Excise, then in that case, you need not levy duty. This is the Central Excise rule

thanks

It depends on Material- Whether the this material is excisable or non-excisable?

if its non-excisable , no need to generate excise invoice.

if it excisable, need to generate excise invoice, because excise authority every goods movement outside the plant should move along with the invoice including duty.

as we know- stock transfer will not have sales tax , only duty is applicable
