Sales Quotation

Hi All

Can we reserve the material based upon sales quotation ? we don't want to get issued/reserve the material if it is already reserve to anyquotation

Could anyone please let me know how we do this in SAP

Hi there,

When the material in the quotation is not issued, then why create a quotation in 1st place? Or is your requirement is to reserve the material to a particular customer sothat no other customer orders that?

Pls clarify your question.

Yes certainly it is possible.

Go to MB1B and input the following:-

- Movement Type 412 with special stock indicator "E"

- Plant

- Storage location

- Quotation reference

- Line item reference

- stock to be reserved

Now save the document and check in MMBE

412 E is for Transfer Posting Sales order to own -Reversal

i think it should be 411 E any way

when i am using 411 E and try to put Quotation No. in Sales order field

system gives me this error messege

"sales order (SOBKZ=) is not provided for this good movement "

If you use movement type 412E, from unrestricted stock, it will be allocated to your quotation and this is what your requirement is also, if I am right !!!!!!

Moreover, the message what you had indicated "sales order (SOBKZ=) is not provided for this good movement" is only a warning message and you can keep pressing "Enter" key and save.

For information, I have tested for a material with movement type 412E and observed that from unrestricted to quotation, stock has been reserved in MMBE.

Yes lakshmipathi it is working

It was throwing a lot of warning messages which i ignored and saved and cheched it in MMBE

Hi

As per my knowledge in standard it is not possible to reserve stocks against quotation

Movement type 412E and MB1B t code is mainly for reserving stocks from unrestricted use to sales order

You can reserve stocks only against valid orders only in standard

Anyway If you are successful in this pls lt us know so that we will know how to reserve stocks against quotation
