open outlook on click of link to action/link to url

I have a link to url / link to action ui element which shows an email address.

How can I open outlook when i click on that link?

Hi,

use mailto:user @ test.com as the value for reference property for the linktoURL Ui element.

In NW 7.1 there is also another functionality available. You can install the so called ActionPad on the client machine and use a new method at the IWDWindowManager API to open different kinds of external application like for example opening the Outlook Calendar etc.
