Customer Rejection - Material Movement

Hi All,

When the Customer rejects and sends back the materials to us, what is the movement type that we have to use for transfer posting.

E.g:

If I am right, the customer return materials are by default get updated as SCRAPS. In case some rework is required on that material, how to bring the materials to Un - restricted stock.

We are using 531 movement type in MB1C t.code. This Movement type is used to move the BY PRDUCT to Unrestricted stock. If this is correct, how a scrap can be considered as By Product.

Hi sam,

When the customer returns the material, Use the following movement types.

M.Type 651 -- to get into Restricted stock.

M.Type 653 -- to get into Unrestricted.

M.Type 655 -- to get into Quality.

check it and revert back for further clarifications.

HI

generally when the customer rejects stocks it comes back with sales order delivery goods returns i.e with 602 E t-code VL09.

then this astock moves to the Returns stock, from returns stock - stock will be brought to unrestricted by using the movement 653.
