SM20/SM20N audit report analysis - in background

Hi,

I would like to create an audit log / audit report analysis in background.

I've found an article bu interested to understand if it is the only way to do that ?

i have not tried it but yes thats what mentioned in the Note 838847

Instructions for Releases 4.6C and 6.20

Creating the RSAU_SELECT_EVENTS program:

Title: "Selection of audit events from the audit files (background variant)"

Type: Executable program

Application: Basis

Package: SECU

Logical database:

Hey Dee,

I'm using release 7.00 so I already have this program.

I think the solution is to schedule the program in background job with a variant,

am i right ?

Yes you are right try that in sandbox/dev first and checkout if it works or not ,,

As far as I'm aware theres no standard SAP code to run the Audit log in batch mode in order to provide a report...

But any good abaper should be able to build something for you.
