Hello,
Since we are facing many performance issues in 32 bit systems, we are planning to migrate to 64 bit systems.
We run SAP R/3 4.7 32 bit kernel release 640.
database oracle 10.2.0.4 32 bit on
Windows 32 bit enterprise server 2003.
I need to upgrade to 64 bit(kernel,OS & DB).
Am unable to find the migration procedure as i need to plan the document.
Please guide.
Regards,
Siddhartha.
Since we are facing many performance issues in 32 bit systems, we are planning to migrate to 64 bit systems.
What kind of performance issues?.... due to ageing hardware or simply because the system is not "tweaked" properly?...
Am unable to find the migration procedure as i need to plan the document.
As far as i remember the only thing you need to do is an heterogeneos system copy which is documented in SAP Marketplace.
regards
Juan

Actually in the link above.. you'll find the following statement.
What is a homogeneous system copy?
A system copy that doesn't involve the change of either OS or DB is called a homogeneous system copy. It is not covered by this subject and the restrictions of a migration don't apply. To change from 32 bit to 64 bit is also a homogeneous system copy.
So, Homogeneos system copy will do for you!
