Can anybody help me explaining the step by step procedure for DMS system.

pls avoid sending links of SAP help.

Hi Rakesh,

I am providing u only main steps in configuration of SAP DMS. Its always advisable to follow IMG on help.sap for DMS.

SPRO -> CAC -> DMS -> Control data -

1. Number ranges are required to define for documents.

2. Document type - tcode DC10 - very important step - Define document type as your requirement, define status network required for specific doc type, define object linking for specific doc type.

SPRO -> CAC -> DMS -> General Data -

1. Define data carrier - here u have to define data carrier for server, front end.

2. Define workstation application - tcode dc30 - SAP has provided almost all workstation applications, if u want some specific behaviour from it u can do further customisation.

3. Define lab offices.

These are some mininmum configuration requirement for SAP DMS as per my knowledge.

Dear All,

I've maintained all the settings required and am able to upload documents...but not being able to carry out distribution of documents to concerned users....

Initial order gets created ...but error is "no recipient could be determined".

Plz help in this issue...
