wht is the basic difference between sd billing plan and wbs billing plan, which is mostly used in a construction industry?
WBS billing plan is significant at early stages of project, when slaes order is not yet received. Once sales order is received you can delete WBS plan. It is basically for planning purposes in initial stage of project.

Hi surya
The advantage with PS billing plan is you can set milestones against the WBS /activities the confirmation of which can be used to initiate the billing process. The control is from the projects.
On confirmation of the milestones, the billing blocks created would be lifted enabling the billing process.
Hope this helps you.

Hi Surya
As explained earlier, it is advantageous to bill the customer as per the Project Progress, which is best determined by the Milestones confirmation.
It is all the more relevant in a construction industry to have Milestone billing controlled from the projects to have an accurate control on the cash flow.
The Billing plan once created with respect to a Project (WBS) establishes the relation between the SD and PS module.
Hope this is of some help.
