Integrating Intranet applications with R/3

Hi Experts,

we have a requirement to replace SAP BC with XI in the below scenario

Intranet application(Employee expense updating)--->SAP BC---->R/3 (using RFC)

Please suggest how we can implement the above scenario in XI.

I think flow services like steps of BPM, so you can Configure BPM relative to flow services.

But to interact with intranet or internet use SOAP or HTTP.

Just Replace SAP XI with SAP BC, whole other flow would be same

but how XI will communicate with intranet application, as BC used flow services which cannot be migrated to XI.

Please suugest on the adapter and its configuration.
