PI7.1 Initial configuration only works for client 001 & ignores the default

Hi,

I am trying to perform initial configuration on our PI7.1 server.

When I started working, we decided to use client 700 as our default client.

After creating the client & copying its content from client 001, I went to start the netweaver initial setup on the scenario administrator.

The thing is, the initial configuration does not use the default client & perform the entire configuration on client 001!

It took us a while to figure out that the reason nothing works is that all the configurations were set to 001.

After trying to manually change all the settings of the system to work with client 700 with little success, we decided to try checking the template installer to see maybe we missed a place that you can give the template the data where to perform the configuration.

Needless to say there is none.

Is there a reason the system only allows to work with that client or is there a way to go around this configuration & use our desired client?

Have you look into this notes 940309, how to change PI default client ?
