Hi,
I'd like to ask if someone is using SAPGUI for Java with OpenJDK6, not Sun's implementation. On my Archlinux, Sun's JDK was dropped in favour of OpenJDK implementation, and I'm having problems running SAPGUI. It crashes after just a couple of operations (SE80 -> view source of report and crash, etc.).
Is there any official status of support of OpenJDK or so?
Thanks in advance.
Tomas
Hello Thomas,
SAP GUI for Java currently does not support OpenJDK. Please install Suns JSE.
See also "System Requirements" part of the manual or [note 959236|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/959236].
Best regards
Rolf-Martin

hi tomas,
it should be fine since OpenJDK is based on SUN. Most of latest linux distros are powered by OpenJDK now.
But I haven't tried myself.
