SMTP Server not active

hi,

The SMTP Server in SMICM is not active.

I have checked the setting and it is fine

I see the following errors in the Display tab

Thr 1286] *** ERROR => IcmBindService: You might not have the permissions to bind the service: sapsmn:25 [icxxse

Thr 1286] *** ERROR => IcmBindService: NiBuf2Listen failed for host sapsmn:25 (rc=-16): NIEMYHOST_VERIFY [icxxse

Thr 1286] *** ERROR => IcmHandleMonServMsg: IcmActivateService failed for 25, 4(rc=-1) [icxxmsg_mt.c 1872]

Pls let me know of what can be the reason for the same

Just in case check the file permission for icmbnd kernel file, the owner should be root.

I fouund that the SMTP port no was mentioned wrongly.

After it is corrected the mails are working
