File to IDOC error

Hi

File to IDOC scenario

in test tool for IDOC processing (we19). while editing control record fields(pop up window).

Receiver side port I can select from F4 help.

But in sender side i could not get the port which i created in XI from F4 help.

where i have to check for the error

Hi Manian,

Is your IDOC went wrong in R3 side, why you are using WE19?

If your IDOC has reached into R3 then use WE02 or WE05 to check it.

But if IDOC has not been reached to R3 from XI then there could be several reasons to know... like

1. Check in status in MONI and act accordingly..

2. If message has successfully processed from XI then check if you have uploaded the IDOC metadata in XI by using transaction IDX2.

3. Check if port created in XI in transaction IDX1 is correct or not..

4. In R3 side check in WE20 if inbound partner profile is Ok.

When I say to check the Port then it also covers to check the corresponding RFC destination too. So please the RFC destination too in your XI system pointing to R3.

I guess I have coverd all the points, but if something is left our experts will let you know.

WE19 is not required to be used in R/3. Its receiving system

your scenario is File-XI-Idoc right.

In File to Idoc scenario you need to create port on XI only

Hi,

If you want to modify the incoming IDoc then you will use WE19 tcode otherwise you can check the IDoc WE02 or WE05.

Here the port will be created in R/3 system so that you will get the port from F4 help.

your Secnrio is File to IDOC.

Why ur checking in we19 .you need to check in idx5 in xi server and we02 or we03 in r/3 side.

when ur configuring Receiver IDOC Adapter .only reqiure :RFC destination ,and port.
