Transfer of requirement for stock.

Hi All,

Is there a process in SAP wherein Sales people want some goods at a particular location from a plant and tell MM people to create stock transfer order and accordingly stocks are transferred.

For example in third party we transfer the stock requirement through a PR and accordingly further process is done.

In the same way if a sales guy wants to tell MM people to transfer some stock how will he tell in SAP??

If I am not wrong,

If the materials are ordered by customer and then when there is no stock available then we go for third party like as you said PR.

And if in the case sales people need some material then we can transfer the stock with the help of MB1B transaction and place the stock in sales plant (in a simple process)

If Its related to plant to plant with ref to purchase order then we have to create a PO which is called Stock transport order where we are supposed to give supplying plant and receiving plant.
