Sap Backup Problem

Hi

I have scheduled Backup but it's failed even background job completed successfully.on system log (SM21) it shows the following message -->

Documentation for system log message D0 1 :

The transaction has been terminated. This may be caused by a

termination message from the application (MESSAGE Axxx) or by an

error detected by the SAP System due to which it makes no sense to

proceed with the transaction. The actual reason for the termination

|is indicated by the T100 message and the parameters.

DB ORACLE 10.2

Can you send us the backup log from DB13.....cause in sm21 we can't see the correct logic behind this.....

When i click on Action log tap it show the message "No action log found for this action"

on job log tab it show the following message ->

Job log

Job started

Execute logical command BRCONNECT On host serpdev

Parameters: -u / -jid CHECK20081114140017 -c -f check

> Function: BtcXpgPanicCan't exec external program (Permission denied)

BRCONNECT returned error status E

Make sure the name for your back-up device has no spaces.

Hi,

I am also getting same problem. I have a differnet situation. I have a distributed environment , my DB and WAS are running on different servers.

I am getting following error , when I am trying to execute an external command in SM69 or trying to schedulte it in DB13.

Function:BtcXpgPanic Can't exec external program (Permission Denied)

I have checked the permission of br commands , they are world executable.

Hi Gunjan,

Check the permission of the program sapxpg in the kernel directory.
