Folks,

What is business scenario where we need to configure Foreign trade/Customs? Do we need to configure it for export sales, if yes how it works and what configuration need to check.

If the client is in India, then Foreign Trade/Customs is not required.

Hi,

From what I have gone through 'foreign trade / custome' is more to do with compliance rather than business scenario. Questions which you need to ask the business is :-

1. Do you need to produce any documents (customs documents) for export / import.

2. Are you going to establish any data services in providing / receiving customs requirements.

3. Any legal control / embargo to be setup - (ie. Cannot export to Cuba).

4. Do you need to perform any declarations to the authorities (ie. To Trade ministry)

Hopefully the points mention above will guide you in the implementation of foreign trade.
