exporting a web dynpro application

hello All,

I have created a web dynpro application in SAP ECC and now I have to move that to the independent solution manager.

Is there a way I can download the web dynpro appl to my desktop and then import it somhow to the solution manager ?

Hi Indrani,

Yes it is possible to download/upload Web Dynpro application to desktop/from desktop by using the saplink.You can find more about this in the documentation provided here.

Hi Peeru,

Because of the fact that Web Dynpro applications can run in any browsers, all you have to do is providing the appropriate URL that was generated in SAP ECC when you created the application.

You open the browser, enter the URL, press Enter and it runs!

However the target computer must have a connection to the portal, in short it can connect to the server that hosts your SAP ECC.

Because your application usually uses the SAP components (i.e. Function module, data types...) I think it could not be exported completely to the local computer.
