Forecast with Phase in profile - not genrating forecast after certain perio

We have the following setting for Phase in Profile

PI June 2008

June 1st 2008 to 30 june 2008

Before Start date apply constant factor (Selected) but no value in % box.

After start date apply constant factor (Selected) 100%

Period :M

In maintan Values:

Month June 2008 is 100

Lets Say forecast and Phase In should be applied to product X.

Taking history from Product Y.

in Like profile we have defined both producs X and Y and bothe products have weightage of 100%.

Product X does not have any history.

Product Y has history.

forecast Horizon is 17 months + 1 month offset and history also is 17 months.

But what is happening is forecast is getting genrated for 5 months to future only and not beyond that. can any one explain the reason?

What are your From and To dates in your life cycle profile assignments? This overwrites your settings in phasein/Phase out profile.

From and to dates are same as in Phase in profile June 1st 2008 to 30 june 2008.

Did you check the " Life cycle planning active" in the related forecast profile? What is the horizon there?

Also check if there are any macros influencing this.

Thanks for all the support, Yes I checked all as suggested and everything looks fine.

The problem is solved now in 2 ways, What I did was in Like profile as I mentioned 2 products are defined X and Y.

X has no history and Y has history and othe weightage of 100% was given, I spoke to user and removed X from Like profile and ran the forecast and its working.

The other way its working when I unchecked

" Before Start dat apply constant factor" in like profile setting.

I am not sure whichs is corect procedure and how this can be explained.
