MI Server Component

Hi,

Can you please inform what is the meaning of upgrading the MI Server Component to SP11 ?

Is it is same as updating the WebAS to SP11 ? Or is there an additional component available?

I checked my WebAS (ABAP) version.

it is

SAP_ABA - Release 640 Level-011

SAP_BASIS Release 640 Level-011

Does it mean that my WebAS is updated to SP11?

Also How I will be able to know the installation version of my J2ee component of WebAS??

Thanks

Satya

hi Satyabrata,

MI Server component, here in MI means your WebAS. so upgrading ServerComponent means patching up your WebAS to that level.

YES... it means your WEBAS is at SP11. You can check your J2E component level at Visual Administrator. Check the License and System information in VA. it will give u the patch level.

hi

The answer to your question is, yes it has been upgraded.

you must have already upgraded your webAS to SP11.

only then could your MI component also be upgraded.

For improved perfomance it is necessary that your WEBAS and MI should be upgraded to the same level.

The only condition is that your MI component should not be higher than your WEBAS.

It might be lower than your WAS though.

You could know the installation version of your J2EE component in Visual Admin or your webconsole.

regards

Arun
