I have to create an WBS hierarcy,

Pls. Tell me how to create WBS hierarchy, step by step with T-Code.

before you create any project hierarchy you must ensure that all necessary config like masks, project profile is completed

I think you should attend PLM200 if you want to lear step by step procedure to build a WBS

the previous post gives all the transactiopns to do the same

Hi Sai,

In my present system, we are using very simple procedure in which we provide services to client thru wbs element .

The business procedure is like this.

create WBS ( project) -

---

> contract( va41)- wbs in account assignment tab of contract.

---

> create a sub type ( whr we combine wbs element + contract doc. no)

---

>Allocation of resouces ( pa40)

---

> resouces flow to contract(va42)

---

> create order w.r.f. contract--

---

invoicing.

so far its a simple process in which thr is one WBS to one project.

But now we need to assign Multiple WBS to one project. for that need to know , how to create WBS Hierarchy.

Very simple parul..go to CJ02..Click on the triangle icon in the toolbar ...in the excel like table that appears add the level i.e If you want a level 2 WBS add 2 and give a WBS no: and description. This will be created under the Level 1 WBS . If you want multiple Level 2 WBS elements just go ahead and add more WBS elements.

If you have CJ20N authorization its much more easy. Just select the WBS element icon and drag and drop on the WBS element under which you need the new WBS element

as per my understanding from ur reply... 1st i shud create wbs element by t.code cj01( only project definition data only).......................den i shud create project builder ( cj20n) & put all the same level wbs element thr.

Dear parul,

Open cj20nu2026..existing project.

We have three sections.

Structure areau2026u2026u2026..Worklist/Templateu2026u2026u2026.Workarea.

After opening your existing project in cj20n.

U will be seeing your project in Structure area.

Downside u have Worklist/Template.

Click Template.

Their u have Individual objects.

Under thisu2026..u have WBS Element with Traingle mark.

U select Wbs In template sectionu2026..drag and drop in to Structure areau2026.where your project defn is their.

Hi Parul

You have different transactions to create WBS elements hierarchically. CJ02 is one CJ20N is another. Once the project is created go to either one of these transactions to create WBS elements.

CJ02:

As I had described above

CJ20N

Right click on the WBS under which you need to create a new WBS and go to create WBS elements. In the screen that opens on the right give the description.

A new WBS will be created underneath

Just practise a bit you will get to know it. Its very simple

Open cj20n......left corner....project...new.....project.

Their u can create project.
