Dear All,

Currently I m facing an issue related to backup.Im taking currently backup on local disk as the tape library is yet to be configured.I had created the filesystem on the system where i take the backup.I schedule backup offline with the option of -cds option. The backup gets completed with the return code 3

The logs of backup where the error occurs :

-

BR0280I BRBACKUP time stamp: 2008-11-13 06.01.22

BR0053I BRBACKUP completed successfully with warnings

BR0280I BRBACKUP time stamp: 2008-11-13 06.01.22

BR0291I BRARCHIVE will be started with options '-U -jid ALGOF20081113040000 -d disk -c force -p initBCD.sap -cds'

BR0280I BRBACKUP time stamp: 2008-11-13 06.01.22

BR0292I Execution of BRARCHIVE finished with return code 3

-

I had also tried with the option -s but in this scenario, backup fails and database does not get started .

Kindly suggest for the same.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Amit

you just posted the last lines but the "warning" line mentioned in the logfile is not visible so it's impossible to help you.

> There is no warning

Well - I wonder why brbackup then tells that there is

Check the logfiles for lines starting with

BR

and containing a "W" after the number.

in your saparch directory, check for the latest *.cds file, this is where you have your warning.

connect on Unix as sidadm, then try to this command from prompt:

brarchive -V

This must work. file must exist, be in the path and have proper permissions.
