V1 501 message error

Dear all:

When I create an third party order that references to a quantity contract with two items. it report V1 501 message: Target qty of reference:XXX (total referenced: YYY). I find out two notes: Note 663641, 25339. but it seems these two notes do not work. Does anyone encounter this error? thanks for your help.

Hi,

I think you are trying to enter more target quantity than reference(contract). In that situation you will get following error.

Once contract quantity is full referenced, then you can't use same contract to create orders.

We maintain settings in item category. Goto Item category KMN.Check the completion rule 'C'

and document flow field in copy controls between contract and order.
