BOM Comparison for different change numbers

hi,

i want to compare a BOM with the same BOM but having changes already..

in CS14, there is selecion parameter for change number..

but when i press F4, it says no values fould..

so i input the document number for the change, it says Change number -

---

does not exist..

why is it that no change numbers are valid?

how to do this?
