We succesfully upgraded to PI 7.1. But now we encounter a strange problem.
Proxies generated on abap systems (ecc, srm,crm etc) worked fine before the upgrade. But after the upgrade the sender interface and sender namespace are missing. The message will not be processed in PI 7.1 anymore.
Message send from ABAP Proxy client:
<SAP:Sender>
<SAP:Service>DS5CLNT200</SAP:Service>
<SAP:Interface namespace="http://sap.com/xi/SRM/Procurement/Global">PurchaseOrderRequest_Out</SAP:Interface>
</SAP:Sender>
Same message on PI 7.1:
<SAP:Sender>
<SAP:Service>DS5CLNT200</SAP:Service>
<SAP:Interface namespace="" />
</SAP:Sender>
We have tried everything we could think of in the Integration Directory. Creating sender agreements, communication channels.
Are we missing something?

The problem was caused by a wrong setting in SXMB_ADM. The PI server was configured as application server and not as integration server.
Proxies do not have to be regenerated on backend systems.

Hi,
You have to regenerate your proxies after upgradation.
So re-generate your proxies and and then try again.
