Deploy error - Please check whether your system is up and running

Hi Experts,

When ever i try to deploy a application , i am getting the following exception

Exception while trying to deploy

Could not retrieve deployment system configuration for CE1. Please check if the system is running.

I have already set the Default Sap System (Instance host and instance number).

Even if try to run already deployed Application, the port number of the application is set to -1, instead of actual port number.

nwserver:-1/webdynpro/dispatcher/......

I am facing the same problem which Fazal was facing.

The backend system is up and running but am getting the error mentioned above.

Please guide me through on what the problem can be.

Hi Yogesh,

follow this steps,

Stop the server and shutdown the server System.

Restart the server system and start the server system.

After doing this, u problem will be resolved.
