Settlement / Closing the WBS element

Hello All,

We have a scenario wherein we have 20 WBS elements and first 10 will be setteling to last 10.

Is it possible to block last 10 WBS for all postings other then the settlements from first 10 WBS elements.

It will be of great help if anyone can let me know how to configure such a situation.

U want block only 10 WBS .

Cj20nu2026u2026select wbsu2026u2026editu2026.statusu2026..locku2026u2026all.

Then the system will prohibits all which is mention below.

Change date

Complete

Release

Revoke status "Released"

Lock

Technically complete

Complete back to tech complete

Revoke status "Closed"

Revoke technical completion

Create subnetwork

Archive insp. lot for PI order

Estimate expense

Automat. WIP/results analysis Prohibited

Can u tell why they want to generate settlement rule only for some WBS .

The requirement is that they want to settle 10 WBS elements to remaining 10 WBS elements. If we lock the WBS elements then we will not even be able to settle those WBS elements.

What exactly we want is that no direct postings on WBS should be possible but still we should be able to settle the WBS element.

e.g WBS1 is the one which is blocked for all postings, and we make postings on WBS2. And as per settlemetn rule for WBS1, WBS2 is to be setteled to WBS1. Now since WBS1 is blocked for positngs but we should be able to settle WBS1. Is such a scenario possible.

hi ,

check ur settings under settlement rule for WBS --->define strategy ,check which strategy is assigned to project profile , you can make the account assignment catergory as no receiver under the strategy used in ur project profile.... and u can enter any level WBS in settlemnt rule ....
