Hi,

I would recommend you to read basics from SAP before moving any further, because you will get confused with every step you take.

hi black

to start sap

1.login as ora<sid>-->run startdb before that check listerner is started if not run lsnrctl start

2.logout from orasid

3.login as <sid>adm --->run startsap

hello, thanks fo rapid answers 😛

unfortunatelly oraaio <ora sid> doesn;t exist.

When I logon as aioadm <aio host>

and use startsap aiohost <aiohost>

System wrote:

Saposcol on host demolin started

Running /usr/sap/AIO/SYS/exe/run/startdb

trying to start database...

Log file: /home/aioadm/startdb.log

AIO database started

/usr/sap/AIO/SYS/exe/run/startdb completed succesfully

Starting SAP Instance

Startup_Log is written to /home/aioadm/startsap_DVEBMGS00.log

/usr/sap/AIO/SYS/exe/run/startsap: line 1706: cd:root permission denied

Instance service on host demolin started

Instance on host demolin started

Following the instruction I should use login root to start SAP

when I do it system said:

no start profiles found

next i try command startsap aiohost

when I do it system said:

You are user root but you have to be aioadm to start this script

When I logon as aioadm and use command startsap aioadm

System said:

/usr/sap/AIO/SYS/exe/run/startsap: line 1706: cd:root permission denied

Instance service on host demolin started

Best regards

you must use only <SID>adm to start/stop SAP applications.

>/usr/sap/AIO/SYS/exe/run/startsap: line 1706: cd:root permission denied

check the file permission and also open the file and check the above syntax at line 1706 in file startsap

It seems that the system was being installed with /root as home directory for <sid>adm and/or ora<SID>. This is wrong.

No user other than "root" has access and edit permissions for the filesystem/directory /root.

Did you follow the installation guide when you were installing the system? I'm not sure if you can resurrect it easily with that configuration.

I followed by instructions included link https://service.sap.com/~sapidb/012006153200000220872008E/BP_Demo_Image_Inst_PartCust_V1.pdf

To customization I used domain of my company and i didn't change SID or virtual host (virtual host is aiohos, SID is AIO, instance number is 00).

since 2 weeks i try to install system and installation finished today.
