Former Member

Hi

Below is the patch level of the software components in our ECC system ( ABAP only ). Our Kernel level is: Release 700 and patch level 133. I am planning to update the Kernel patch level to 146. I am concerned if this might create inconsistencies in the system.

PLEASE ADVISE.

Hi Janak,

Apart from updating your kernel, can I know which patch of Oracle you are in?

10.2.X.X.X ????

Please update the Oracle patch to 10.2.0.4.0!!!!

10.2.0.2.0 is the oracle version.

why do we need to update to 10.2.0.4.0? how will it help?

thanks

upgrading to 10.204 will not help. it has nothing to do with your problem.

Hi Janak,

I don't think it will create inconsistencies

I suggest you:

- update kernel stack I and II (latest 179)

- overwrite the kernel patch with disp+work package (dw XX.SAR) , i.e latest should be 183

- update latest dbsl library

Regards,

Vincent

Kernels patches are mostly independent of the underlying version. As long as you use a kernel of version 7.00 you´re safe.

Why don´t you update to patchlevel 179 (the latest full package)?
