SIDadm Installation user change from local to domain

Hello,

we have installed Netweaver 7.0 SP13 with usage type MI over Windows 2003 Server SR2 and MAXDB 7.6

We changed the windows services

SAPT02_00

SAPT02_01

from the local user definde during installation to new ones (that i have created in a windows domain following the Installation Guide from SAP)

Now, the central instance does not star:. DISP+WORK.EXE is stoped

Any ideas?

Thanks, gabriel

Hi Lionel,

The simplest way to do this is to use SAPINST to create the OS users.

If you are want to create the domain users, login to the domain with AD privelages. Then run SAPINST from the Installation Master disk.

Select SAP NetWeaver 7.0

-> Software Life-Cycle Options

-

> Additional Preparation Options

-

> Operating System Users and Groups

The installation will ask you for the SID information, etc and create the necessary users and groups. You should then be able to assign those users to the SAP services.

Check the section of the installation guide on creating and preparing the windows domain with the necessary groups and accounts. Among several steps, these users you created on the domain should be local administrators. I apologize for not having the guide in front of me, but that section should help you insure you have all the correct rights/groups setup.
