INSPECTION LOT CANCELLATION

Dear Gurus,

I want to cancel inspection lot but when i go to QA02 functions-->Cancel lot.the cancel lot feild is in display mode onlyWhat would be the reason behind it,

N:B: Even the reset cacellation feild is also in display mode.

Dear Ramkumar,

If your objective is only to cancil the inspection lot then you give the UD to the inspection lot then --> QA12 (Change Inspection Lot) --> Enter Inspection lot to cancil --> Go to Menu bar " Usage Decision" --> Functions --> Cancel Lot then SAVE it . Your Inspection lot will be cancilled.

Ramkumar,

The standard procedure to cancel the inspection lot is to reverse the material document associated with it. With this the lot quantity will be transferred to open qty and you can process in future if you want. For this simply reverse the material document using the transaction code MBST.

Hi Ram,

If you want to reverse the Material movement then reverse the Material document that have created the Inspection Lot.This will put you inspection lot status as cancelled automatically.Also the other procedure is in QA02 ,function cancel inspection lot function is available,this will only change your inspection lot status.

you need to do the reversal movement of the respective lot GR.

if the lot is related to PR then do 102 for that document or cancel the material docuemnt from MIGO.similarly for Production order and other material movements.

Hello RAMKUMAR WARIYAR,

To cancel the inspection lot you need to cancel the movement that created that IL. For example if you have the control type 01 to create an IL on the goods receipt, if you want to cancel that lot you need to cancel the material document (for example on transaction MIGO).

If you are using a control type 89 you can cancel the inspection lot because you donu2019t have any document associated.
