R&D and ETO/MTO

Hi Friends,

I need some brief idea about R&D type of project and ETO/MTO type of project.Any pointers will be rewarded.

r&d would be based on investment project as the r7d cost can be capitalised

eto/mto should be customer projects

both investment and customer projects are standard SAP models

R&D Project - Development of new product. Developing a new product (ex:Auto Industry) takes couple of years, so requires project management.

ETO- Engineet to Order

MTO - Make to Order

U get design from Customer and it is manufactured as per the client requirement.
