Session Timeout, Max Sessions for ESS WebDynpro applications

Hello Portal Knowledge,

I am running EP6.0 SP13.

I have several questions related to session handling for WebDynpro applications.

1. How/Where do I configure the user idle session timeout for the standard ESS WebDynpro applications (Employee Address Update)?

2. How do I configure the maximum concurrent session number for the standard ESS WebDynpro applications?

We would also like to configue the Timeout for the WD ABAP Applications.

Hi Gary,

WD ABAP timeout session can be maintained in SICF service.

Go to T-code SICF and search for your WD ABAP application.

Here you can specify the timeout for this applications.

Hello,

Change the service of the relevant Web Dynpro. Go to Transaction, SICF and navigate to /default_host/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/<WD>. Double click on the WD application.

Change the Session Timeout. If itu2019s 00:00:00, the SAP profile parameter u2018rdisp/plugin_auto_logoutu2019 (default setting 30 minutes) decides when the session context is terminated. This modified value should be less than the global timeout parameter of the ICM.
