Patching Multiple Java Dialog Instance

Hello, in our production installation of SAP Enterprise Portal SP14, we have 6 Application or Dialog Instance in 6 different server, when we want to apply the SP15 or the next SP,Anybody know if can we apply an SP to a multiple java dialog instance (J2EE) or we have to apply one by one ???

Hi Carlo,

To my knowledge you don't need to patch J2EE dialog instances one by one or altogether. The only thing you need to do is to patch your Central J2EE instance (don't forget to switch it to "Safe Mode" before patching) and your dialog instances will get updates from the central once your central instance is patched and Safe mode is off. Please refer to the SP/patch installation guide for more details.

Thanks Mike, but if you read the Support Package Stack Guide SP15, the page 55 show the patching process and you can read that after patching the application scenario (Portal in our case) you have to patch DI's (Dialog Instances) and on page 60 is the procedure to patch a DI.
