Hello:
Someone could help me telling me how to get the gateway from an R3 System? Is for the parameter of the mobile engine.
Additionally I want to know if I have to do additonal configuration steps in the R/3 System for enable the mobile functionality.
Thanks
Regards
Hello Mario,
I am sorry. I have given a wrong information in
my previous reply in this thread.
I have mentioned that you can get the R/3 System
Gateway from the System --> Status which is wrong.
For getting the gateway you have to contact the
administrator of the r/3 server.
Hope it helps.

hi
1.Start the MMC on the SAP system host by choosing Start Programs SAP Management Console.
2.Right-click the SAP system node and choose Start or Stop.
All instances listed under the system node, will start or stop in the correct order.
3.If the SAP system is installed on multiple hosts (distributed system), you have the following options to start or stop your system:
¡ You start or stop the SAP instances using the MMC on each host.
¡ You add the remote instances to the MMC configuration to start or stop all instances from a single MMC. To do so, use one of the following options to configure the MMC:
TO configure the MMC manually check
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005/helpdata/en/7a/d7fc377cb5be5ae10000009b38f842/frameset.htm
TO use the automatic LDAP registration, check this link
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005/helpdata/en/71/22a0383b22016fe10000009b38f8cf/frameset.htm
Regarding the R/3 system you should definitely configure it.
The procedure is found in the MI insallation docs which you could find in the marketplace.

Hi Mario Galvis,
I assume that you have installed mi client in
your client side.
<b>Someone could help me telling me how to get the gateway
from an R3 System?</b>
1. Logon to your R/3 System using SAP Logon GUI.
2. Now logon with your username & password.
3. In the Menu above choose the System --> Status
4. A status window opens with the gateway mention in one of the fields.
<b>additonal configuration steps in the R/3 System for enable the mobile functionality.</b>
1. Transaction: MCD Mobile Component Distributor.
2. You can create SyncBO Synchronizing Business Objects
in your r/3 then you can download xml files from SyncBO.
When you are creating a SmartSync Project you need this xml.
You can find more configurations that are needed for
mobile in this link...
