hi all,
what do i mean when i use the word "kernel stack" and "kernel patch".
as far as i know "kernel patch" is the incremental or latest updated patch of the kernel available in the market place.
but what about kernel stack . does it mean the same .
needed a clarification.
regards,
bhupesh
Good question , i'm read same in 1266804, but what it means directly ...
SAP the most mysterious corporation Likes to create riddles
may be now we only be download from sp-stacks ?
P.S. about your pregoing question, no need to check kernel version in Sm51 , simply go to -->
menu --> system --> status and press on button "other kernel info" or "shift+f5"
Regards.

Hi,
Kernel Stack is used with reference to Support Package Stacks. When we apply abap and java patching, in SP-Stacks we do find the kernel stack
Kernel patch is used to refer to a single particular patch or even the group of executables. Eg. disp+work, tp, r3trans.exe etc..
Hope this helps!
Thanks,
Antarpreet
