workbench layout

Hi everyone,

I am trying the deploy my web dynpro project which worked fine before. However, I get the following error

message when I click on "Deploy new achive and run".

Could not restore workbench layout.

Reason:
Problems occurred restoring workbench.

Problems occurred restoring workbench.
  Unable to restore perspective: Workspace - Web Dynpro.
    Could not create view: com.tssap.j2ee.ui.perspective.view.j2ee.J2eeView
      Could not create view: com.tssap.j2ee.ui.perspective.view.j2ee.J2eeView
    Could not create view: com.sap.ide.eclipse.j2ee.engine.admin.ui.process_management
      Could not create view: com.sap.ide.eclipse.j2ee.engine.admin.ui.process_management
    Could not find view: com.tssap.j2ee.ui.perspective.view.j2ee.J2eeView
    Could not find view: com.sap.ide.eclipse.j2ee.engine.admin.ui.process_management

Please help!

Hi,

It looks like You have a perspective with a saved reference to a view which no longer

exists. Try doing Window -> Reset Perspective. This will reset all default perspectives and it should work.

if that doesn't work, please try this: Close your NWDS >> Copy .metadata folder from your workspace normally this is your installation directory>> Delete .metadata folder from your workspace>> Restart your NWDS.

Thanks for your reply. I followed your direction and it workd fine.

By the way, you asked me to copy the meta data, then delete the meta data. Do I need to paste it somewhere?

I appreciate your help.
