Error while refreshing the XI runtime cache

Former Member

Hi,

I am not able to refresh the runtime cache in my PI 7.1 system.

Messages fail with this message- <SAP:Code area="MAPPING">RESOURCE_NOT_FOUND</SAP:Code>

When i tried testing the config (using config test) i got "Error while refreshing the XI runtime cache" message.

The funny thing is the system generated connection - INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI is not working.

The issue is not with the id/pwd. When i try to test the connection I get a Login Popup and when I enter the credentials I get a 401 error.

Any idea why the popup comes up even though I have mentioned them in the logon parameters of the connection? I am not able to figure out why the connecion failed...

HI Arvind

its a authorization issue only. 401.

Do INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI have PISUPER or some other user. Check with basis or if you know the password is updated for this or not.

Check for the ID/password only

Thanks

ok the error moved from 401 to 403....?

What are the authorizations required to clear the cache?

Should the INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI connection point to client 001 or 100?

001

403 means you are able to connect to client but not authorize for cache refresh. Use PISUPER to avoid issues.

Thanks

Hi,

Can you tell me which is your Default PI client. Generally when you install PI, the default client will be 001. Later we need to change this to 100 or 110 as per your clients standards. You need to follow Note:940309 to change your default client.
