Hello
I have a problem with the JDBC Adapter, MS Access und Windows Server 2003 64 bit.
The JDBC Adapter with the parameters:
sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver
jdbc:odbc:Driver={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)};DBQ=C:/TEST/test.mdb
go to the ODBC Driver form Windows Server 2003. On Windows Server 2003 64 BIT System is the MS Access Driver not Supported. Is also not visible in the ODBC Administrator.
I have the Driver in the 32 BIT Version in the Server in the Folder:
C:\WINDOWS\SysWOW64
I start the ODBC Administrator in this Folder and the MS Access Driver is available.
But the Adapter go not to the 32 BIT installation, what i can to that tis is working?

Hi!
The JDBC driver stuff has to be deployed to the J2EE Engine.
See here: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/22/b4d13b633f7748b4d34f3191529946/content.htm
"To be able to use the JDBC adapter you must install the JDBC driver for the database that you want to connect to. The required Java libraries are product-specific and must be obtained from the database vendor. Following installation, you must deploy the Java libraries on the J2EE server so that the JDBC adapter can access the required Java classes at runtime."
Hope this helps.

Volker

Hello Volker
Thank you for your answer. Is think the JDBC Sun Driver is in SAP PI 7.0 standard deployed, when you have a Sun J2EE Engine. I have this implemented in 32 BIT installation an it is work, with out extra deployment from SUN JDBC in the jmsproviderlib.
The Solution for MS Access is a combination of JDBC SUN and ODBC. Look this in the

Hi!
This might be correct, but ther JDBC Driver you define in the Communication Channel needs to know which driver has to be used to access the database.
Original SAP Docu for Parameter JDBC Driver:
"Java class of the JDBC driver that the JDBC adapter must load to be able to access the driver. The specification varies according to the JDBC driver; see documentation from the respective provider."
Maybe you have a chance to manipulate the behaviour of the JDBC Adapter in Visual Administrator?
