Hi Experts,

Scenario : SOAP to IDOC

Is it necessary to create Business system for the Sender System? Directly we can go ahead and create Business service in ID..Is it correct?

Sara

Hi,

Yes you can go ahead with business service. And your scenarion will work fine with it.

But if you have RFC Sender and IDOC Sender/Receiver then i is mandatory to create business systems.

Because in Idoc sender/receiver XI takes sender/receiver service based on Logical System name and corresponding business system. Same for the RFC sender.

Hi Sami,

Yes, it will work fine. But is it the proper way to do it for all SOAP side systems?

Note: We are doing this scenario for the client, not just for testing purpose..So, please advise with your comments.

Hi Sara,

You can also create business system of type Third party or Java in SLD for your SOAP scenario. Based on your business requirement and design.

Sami.

Refer to this thread:

https://www.sdn.sap.com/sdn/collaboration.sdn?contenttype=url&content=https%3A//forums.sdn.sap.com/t...

E.g.

Published web services - use business service.

R/3, DB etc - use business system.

If you are having Business System already than use it.

If you would not like to create Business System then you can go with Business Service.
