Contract Lifecycle management..... what else?

Former Member

Hi there,

one of our client is willing to implement SAP in order to manage their contract. They already have SAP ECC 6.0 . But Materials Management (including External Services Management) is not exhaustive enough to handle the contract management process.

My questions are :

Is there anything else than CLM for managing contract?

Where can I find document related to CLM ?

THank you so much.

You can use PLM / C-projects along with CLM. This has the advantage that you can track the contract phases and also integrate the contract function. GOA is one option that would be advantageous...

Thank you guys,

I will have another question. Does CLM handle Tendering process?

If not , How can SAP handle this?

CLM is linked to tendering i.e.

as a outcome of tendering you can create a contract in SRM or ECC as per yr requirement.

in SRM 7.0 contract management is enhanced and there is a concept of central contract.

which does away GOA.

Otherwise tendering in SRM is handled in Sourcing.

Operational/strategic purchaser can create sourcing events i.e. Bid Invitation or

auction afresh or wrt external requirements e.g. ECC PR.

Can get online quotes from bidders (bids)

C-folders can be linked with this tendering so that two stage tendering can be achieved.

Thank you for the link. I found some great presentation.

One point still blurry, CLM can be integrated to ERP - MM (for buyer side)

What about the integration with ERP - SD ( foe seller side)?
