SAP content integrator

Hello,

IN MDM 3.0 we hade Content integrator for matching stretegy.

what about MDM 5.5?

as in MDM 3.0 it was seperate installation of SAP CI

in MDM 5.5?

Hi Ken,

You are right. In older versions of SAP MDM 3.0, the matching statergy was executed by using Content Integrator. You can know about Content Integrator in the link below:

However, with MDM 5.5, you have the provision of executing the Matching Stratergy in Data manager itself. You do not require separate installation for that. To know about the Matching Stratergy in Data manager, you can refer to the link below:

Go to matching Mode. You will find the details of executing the Matching Stratergy in MDM. You have to define rules, stratergy etc and then you can run them on Records present in MDM so find out potential duplicates.

Hi Ken,

SAP-MDM has improved a lot form the 3.0 version to the 5.5 version.

Most of its features have become user friendly and easy to run.

The matching strategy as run in the 3.0 evrsion is much different than the current method.

At present in the SAP-MDM 5.5 version we can run the matching strategy from with the windows environment using the MDM client Data manager.

You do not need to write any commands or use any separate installations to exceutes the Matching strategies.

All is available in the MDM data manager as different options in the Matching mode.

You need to select the right fields in the rules and then use the correct Rules combination to set the Matching strategy.

Transformations are also every easy to apply in th MDM 5.5 version.

Now we are looking forward to the MDM 7.1 which is scheduled for release in Nov some time.
