Skip testing from out sourced materials& Internal manufactured Intermediate

Hi experts,

I need below clarifications, if any body suggests it will be great.

I want to test the 1st lot and after 10 lots, it means 11th lot.

If it is out soucre what settings required. Is it required to set each and every Vendor?

If it is internally manufactured what settings required?

Hi Krishna reddy,

You use sampling schemes in association with Sampling procedures, if you want to determine the sample size based on the lot size.

Follow the following steps to create Sampling scheme and Sampling Proceedure.

Sampling Scheme :

Execute QDP1--> Type Sampling scheme name --> Enter --> Type Short Description --> Select radio button * Without valuation Parameters* and Insp. severities --> Enter --> Select Inspection severity as 004 ( Normal inspection) --> Enter --> Maintain table with lotsizes and respective Sample sizes. --> Save it and press Enter.

Sampling Proceedure :

Execute QDV1 --> Type Sampling Proceedure name --> Enter --> Type Short Description --> Select Sampling type * Use sampling scheme* and Valuation Mode Without valuation Parameters. --> Select Inspection points * Without Inspection points* --> Enter --> Assign Sampling scheme created in the Earlier step --> Click on Additional Data --> Select inspection severity 004 and Enter --> Save it --> System asks whether to Add the sampling procedure to the allowed relationships? --> Click on No .

Note : If you use a sampling procedure to determine the sample size at Material master inspection type level ( Without task list and Material specification), the system checks whether the dynamic modification rule and sampling procedure are compatible. In this case, Maintain relationship between sampling procedure and Dynamic modification rule by selecting yes in the previous step. But for Dynamic modification rule at Inspection plan header level relationship between sampling procedure and Dynamic modification rule is not needed.

Try to create sampling procedures / sampling schemes with all possibles fields combination.

Use F1 help to know the significance at each field .

Hi,

For Automatic UD of Skip lots, Do the following settings.

1. Execute mm02 Select * Automatic UD* for inspection type in material master along with Skips allowed.

2. In customization (SPRO Quality management  Basic settings  Maintain settings at plant level), Maintain * Delay time for skip lot* in minutes, under Insp lot completion tab for the respective plant.

Go through the below given SAP help documentation for field.

Use

Before the system can make an automatic usage decision for inspection lots with skip status, the delay time (in minutes) must have already expired since the lot was created.

Dependencies

You must allow skips in the inspection setup for the material, so that the system can modify the inspection scope dynamically to a skip stage (assuming a corresponding quality level exists).

If you activated the indicator for an automatic usage decision for goods receipt inspections in the inspection setup for the material and the inspection lot has the status skip lot, the system posts the lot quantity directly to unrestricted-use stock (ship-to stock). This occurs even if the inspection stock indicator is set in the inspection setup for the material.

Hi,

Follow the below mentioned steps.

1. Execute QDR1--> Enter Modification Rule ( Eg: "tst") --> Enter Description ( eg : 'Every tenth lot to be checked') --> Select radio button at lot creation --> Click on next --> Enter stage 10 and inspection Severity as 004 > click on check box Initial Inspection Stage> Maintain short description ( eg : 'Inspect 1 st lot') --> Enter stage 20 --> click on check box skip --> Maintain short description ( eg : 'skip 9 lots') --> Press Enter and select stage 10 and click on stage change --> Enter no. of Inspections 1, New inspection stage 20 under O.K condition --> Enter no. of rejections 1, New inspection stage 20 under Not O.K condition --> Press Enter and select stage 20 and click on stage change --> Enter no. of Skips 9, New inspection stage 10 under O.K condition --> Enter no. of rejections 1, New inspection stage 10 under Not O.K condition. > Press Enter and save.> Assign dynamic modification rule to sampling proceedure ( with sampling scheme). --> Save it.

2. Execute QP02 --> In header Select dyanamic modification at lot level and assign dynamic modification rule ' tst' and save it.

3. Now check the status of lots. Complete normal procedure for fist lot i.e RR and UD. From second lot onwards you will get status as 'skip' and u can directly do the UD with quantity posting.

Check this and revert back if u need any further clarifications.

Hi Venkat,

Thank you very much for detailed steps. Could you please give the detailed steps to create Sampling procedure & Sampling scheme.

My rquirement is that the skipped lots should not go to quality even for UD. 1st lot analysed, RR & UD done. Then the next 9 lots should go to unrestricted. Again 10th lot should go to quality for RR & UD.

Hi ,

For this you need to create one DMR according to the required condition in Tcode QDR1.

After creating DMR its your decision how you want the inspection lot skip wheather at material only or at material & vendor combination.

You have to assign the DMR at the inspection plan header & there you can choose the DMR modifying factors too.

For internal manufactured material you have to assign the DMR rule in reciepe or routing the logic remain the same.

Thanks for the reply. Could you provide the detailed steps to create a DMR.

Sppose I would like to skip for for every 10 lots. In Inspection plan header what type of option to be selected against Dynamic mod.level.
