Gurus,
In Sales document processing, some fields are not editable by end users, where as it can be editable by a key user(for eg -disc condition type). how it is being done?
Eventhough it is a question regarding authorizations(basis) , I hope somebody from SD can put some light on this.
Points wil b rewarded
Thanks in advance 4 ur time,
Raj
hello, friend.
fields that are modifiable or not can be set at least a few ways, some of which are:
1. via roles and profiles, usually set by BASIS after consultation with functional consultants. some t-codes relevant to this approach are PFCG and SU01.
2. transaction variants and screen variants are done using SHD0 and can be assigned to users in authorization development.
3. field access can also be restricted using ABAP and/or user exits.
4. some master data, such as the customer master data, can be configured in IMG for the fields to be either optional, required, display only or suppressed.
regards.
