Is Installing Netweaver 7.0 with EHP1 equivalent to Installing Netweaver7.0

Hi

We are about to start a fresh Installtion in our Company

So Just in a Dillema whether to Install Netweaver 7.0 SR3 and then latter on Apply SP 15 Support pack or Install Directly

Netweaver 7.0 with EHP1.

If I install EHP1 do I get all the Components

please advice

Hi,

i think you are talking about different distributions of NW. As far as I know

NW 07 SR 3 is

SAP_BASIS 700 14

SAP_ABA 700 14

SAP_BW 700 16

PI_BASIS 2005_1_700 14

NW 07 EHP 1 is

SAP_BASIS 701 00

SAP_ABA 701 00

SAP_BW 701 00

PI_BASIS 701 00

and these are not the same components, due to EHP1 is still in RAMP UP? So when you

upgrade to Support Pack 15, you will not get EHP1 NW7.0

EhPs and SPs are mutually exclusive. If you are installing NW 70 SR3, you will need to subsequently apply the EhP with the enhancements that you desire. There will then be SP's specific to the EhP level you will be on.

But as said here, if you are not a ramp up customer for EhP1, then proceed with the NW 70 SR3 install and wait for general release early in 2009 to apply it.
