Partner connect to customer portal via saprouters

Hi,

I'm looking for a similar way to connect to a portal via URL as the SAPGUI has to connect to an ABAP system, much in the same way SAP does to customers.

I have control on the entries in saprouttab (I think , but don't know how to handle the URL. Can I use a saprout string in a URL? Any other way? How is this technically solved at SAP ("on the inside")? Is it possible to do the same between partner/customer saprouters?

Both saprouters are connected to SAP, both use SNC.

As far as i know is not possible... you'll need a VPN connection or similar.
