Performance with File adapter polling in real time

Hi,

Does anybody have any experiance with setting the polling interval for a file adater to null, which according to the documentation should mean realtime.

Will this dreain the performance for from the rest of the system?

Can the logging for this interface be reset to a lower value.

I think 1 sec Poll interval is min for File Adapter.
