Receving Message configuration

Hi Friends,

want to knw, is it possible that if partner sends message from there BC system to my XI system and if I want to take that message and put into my R/3,can i use idoc adaptar for this.

I mean,suppose partner sends P.O. from there business connector system and I want to create S.O. from this into my r/3 system,can I use idoc adaptar for tht.....

The scenarion u mentioned here is an Async scenrio and nothing is returned from R3 system. Therefore the ans would be Yes, u may use idoc adapter.

Exactly, u r correct. That is the use of XI, to make source and target system "Loosely Coupled".
